“The big theme behind this design is quite a simple theme; it’s bringing people together, taking the game out to people. It’s about the warmth and the heat that the Wildcats radiate, it’s about the energy they produce, it’s about the place they live, the place of the sunshine, where the sun settles in the ocean.” – Dr. Richard Walley OAM
The 2021 Perth Wildcats Indigenous Round uniform was designed by Nyoongar Statesperson Dr. Richard Walley OAM. It depicts people coming together for Wildcats home games, and showcases the club’s strong connection to its fans and the wider community. Through incorporating colours of Wildcats uniforms past and present, it symbolises the sunsets over the place they call home – the Wadjuk Region.
These jerseys are replicas of the uniforms that will be worn by the Wildcats at their 27 May Indigenous Round clash with the Sydney Kings at RAC Arena.
